"My name is Kazuki and I am Japanese. I started to work at Pépé la Poule in April 2017. My idea was to come in Vietnam to discover a new culture. Finding a restaurant with a Japanese owner was perfect for me. At the beginning, it was a bit complicated for me to work at Pépé la Poule because of the differences with my country. At the restaurant, customers are from Japan, France, Korea, Vietnam... and many other places. One of my objective was to learn more about these cultures and languages, mainly Vietnamese, to communicate with the customers and our team. When I arrived in Hanoi, I didn't know any Vietnamese words, even basic one like "turn left, turn right"... But I was pretty sure that with the time I could improve here. Since I arrived, I learnt a lot about working in restaurant, about myself and about the others. That's the reason why I'm still enjoying my work at Pépé la Poule. So, if you want to practice and improve your skills, come here and join us! If you come as customer, don't hesitate to eat at the ground floor bar to exchange with me!"
